J² Safaris will not be held responsible for the denial of services by a carrier due to any name discrepancy. Reservations are non-transferable. Name changes must be advised in writing.

Passports & Visas
Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and visas.
Electronic visas are required by both Kenya and Tanzania for all visitors. J² Safaris will send you details of how to apply for a visa and what information to use on the application.
Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from your return date. The passport number and expiration date of all passengers on the reservation are required to verify your identity with the hotel upon check-in. Please provide this information before the trip begins to our Customer Care Department.
Names printed on the invoice should appear exactly as they appear in the passport (including any middle names, initials, or hyphens). If airfare was booked through us, please note that any name change, including minor spelling corrections, may require airline reservations to be canceled and rebooked. Please note that rebooking reservations are subject to availability and to an airline rebooking fee. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance. Please discuss land, air, and health insurance options with your insurance provider. Some insurance programs provide more comprehensive coverage when the policy is purchased in close proximity to the initial trip deposit. We therefore, recommend that you secure insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit payment date.
Health Requirements
Please check with your healthcare provider for up-to-date requirements such as any necessary vaccinations for your travel destination.
At present, both Kenya and Tanzania require that you have a Yellow Fever vaccination, and that you bring official documentation of this vaccination with you for inspection.
Customer Service
All customer service issues must be submitted in writing and received no later than 30 days after your return. Refunds are subject to a credit card processing fee plus any hotel and/or supplier charges incurred. Processing of claims will take up to six weeks from the date J² Safaris receives relevant documents. There will be no refunds for unused package trip services or features, including missed transfers due to airline changes and/or missed flights, unused meals, missed sightseeing trips, unused entrance fees, and accommodations. No terms set forth may be changed by anyone other than an authorized representative of J² Safaris and must be documented in writing. J² Safaris is not obliged to guarantee promises (written or verbal) made by local hotel staff, tour guides, or any other persons not under the direct employment of J² Safaris.
Flights
Once issued, tickets are non-refundable. Airline schedules and flights are subject to change without notice. J² Safaris is not responsible for penalties incurred for tickets, international or domestic, not issued by J² Safaris due to schedule and/or flight changes. Airlines reserve the right to demand immediate issuance of tickets whenever they determine that specific flights are heavily booked even when normal ticketing rules do not require tickets to be issued until a later date. In this instance, J² Safaris will require immediate and full payment of the airfare and airport taxes and fees as itemised on the invoice. This situation overrides invoice terms and conditions and payment due dates. If full payment is not received, seats will be canceled by the airline and may not be available to be rebooked on the same flights or at the same airfare. Any replacement air arrangements and airfare will be the sole responsibility of the passenger.
Airline flight cancellations and delays for any reason are not the responsibility of J² Safaris. Submit your claim directly to the airline. J² Safaris does not guarantee airline response.
Baggage
Confirm baggage limitations with your international carrier before packing. Remember that airlines can change their baggage restrictions at any time.
Luggage allowances on safari flights (especially bush planes) may be more restricted than international flights—often limited to soft-sided bags and specific weight limits. Please check the details provided in your E-Documents for more specific details. J² Safaris is not responsible for lost or damaged luggage. All claims must be filed with the appropriate authorities at the time of incident and documented in writing.
Room Share
Some safari packages offer room-sharing options. If you wish to share a room, let us know at the time of booking. If a roommate is not available, you will be responsible for the single supplement.
Airport Taxes & Fees
All airline tickets are subject to a variety of foreign and domestic government taxes which include security charges, airport facility charges, customs and immigration fees, inspection fees, fuel surcharges, and more. The total of these taxes may vary and are subject to change.
Airport taxes & fees which appear on the invoice reflect the taxes and fees that are applicable when the original reservation is completed. These taxes and fees may vary prior by air carrier. We reserve the right to amend the airport taxes & fees to reflect any changes prior to ticketing.
Safari Lodge & Camp Accommodations
Lodging is included in your trip package. Accommodations may include lodges, and boutique safari resorts. Standards may vary based on location, but we work to provide the best available options with an emphasis on luxury, comfort, and authenticity. Please be aware:

Transfers
Your safari package includes arrival and departure transfers, which will be detailed in your travel documents and e-mailed to you up to 21 days prior to your departure. If you deviate from the arrival and/or departure dates, and time as specified in your travel documents, you may need to arrange your own transfers. Your arrival transfer is guaranteed for up to one hour from your scheduled arrival time in order to compensate for minor delays. J² Safaris or the transfer company will not be responsible for delays, for any reason, beyond one hour from your originally scheduled arrival time. In case of a delay, it will be your responsibility to contact J² Safaris directly and/or to make other transfer arrangements such as a taxi. Transfer costs are not refundable and any additional expenses will be your responsibility.
Transportation & Program
Safari transportation includes open or closed 4×4 vehicles, light aircraft, or minivans, depending on the region. Your itinerary is designed with flexibility for wildlife viewing and may shift to take advantage of optimal conditions. Please note:
- The pace of the trip is active, with early mornings and long days in vehicles.
- Game drive times are approximate and vary based on wildlife sightings and safety.
- Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed—nature is unpredictable.
Public Holidays & Seasonal Factors
Certain parks or attractions may close or operate with limited services during holidays. Seasonal factors such as rainy seasons or migration patterns may impact the itinerary.
Itinerary & Lodge Changes
Itinerary and lodge changes may occur due to weather, lodge availability, or wildlife conditions. Substitutions will be made with comparable options where possible. No refunds will be given for substitutions deemed necessary by J² Safaris or its local partners.
Physical Requirements
Safaris involve long drives, bumpy roads, and early mornings. You must be in good health and able to walk over uneven terrain. Some activities involve climbing into high vehicles or walking in sand or bush terrain. You should be able to walk 2-3 miles in a day unassisted and stand for extended periods. Please pack comfortable, broken-in shoes, and consider bringing walking sticks or hiking poles if needed.
If you have mobility issues, you must notify us in writing at the time of booking so we can advise you on appropriate accommodations. Extra costs may apply for necessary modifications.
J² Safaris reserves the right to remove any participant who has not disclosed physical limitations and cannot safely complete the program.
Group Harmony
To ensure the optimal experience for all participants, J² safaris reserves the right to accept, decline, or remove from the safari any individual whose behavior is deemed disruptive or incompatible with the group dynamic or the safety of others. Any resulting costs will be the sole responsibility of the individual.
